Q: Take the title 'Candid Camera.' Write down the first appearance of each letter, ignoring any repeats, in the order these letters appear. You get C, A, N, D, I, M, E, R. By doing the same thing to the title of what other well-known TV program do you get the letters S, E, A, M, T, R?I don't think I can count the number of episodes of this program that I've watched...
Edit: Can you tell me how to get, how to get to...
A: SESAME STREET
This is a pretty puerile puzzle, but if you're having a hard time, try solving it algorithmically.
ReplyDeleteMust start with S
First two letters must be SE or SS
Then SEA or SSA or SEE or SES etc...
I asked my grandfather for help on this puzzle. "Poppy," I said, "can you tell me how to get the answer?"
ReplyDeleteI have thought about this puzzle for so long and hard that my buns are sore. :-)
ReplyDeleteAccording to Wikipedia, as of 2007, they're up to 4160 episodes.
ReplyDeleteIt was my favorite show: Seamstress.
ReplyDeleteI liked the spin-off "Seamstresses are Master Mattress Stress Testers"
ReplyDeleteHowever, when they had them pose as undercover cops dressed as prostitutes to nab the crooked dockworkers mafia, I had to stop watching. Who thought "Seamstresses as Tarts Arrest Teamster Tsars" would be a good show?
