I'll give you points for creativity. So far you are the closest, though that really comes out to something like 97.0058603. Plus, I don't know that I would consider a decimal point as an operator.
Darn!! I put the extra set of parentheses in for clarity - too many punctuation marks can cause confusion. I thought coming within .005 would be good enough, you can't even round it up to the tenths slot!!
I have to wave the white flag. I gave it my best shot and came within .005, which is definitely close enough for horse shoes, hand grenades, and nuclear weapons. Sir Blaine?? An honorable surrender??
For NPR puzzle posts, don't post the answer or any hints that could lead to the answer before the deadline (usually Thursday at 3pm ET). If you know the answer, submit it to NPR, but don't give it away here.
You may provide indirect hints to the answer to show you know it, but make sure they don't assist with solving. You can openly discuss your hints and the answer after the deadline. Thank you.
Let's try this:
ReplyDelete((8^2)^((0!).(0!))
8 squared raised to the power of 1.1
