For NPR puzzle posts, don't post the answer or any hints that could lead to the answer before the deadline (usually Thursday at 3pm ET). If you know the answer, submit it to NPR, but don't give it away here.
You may provide indirect hints to the answer to show you know it, but make sure they don't assist with solving. You can openly discuss your hints and the answer after the deadline. Thank you.

As always, my favorites are the gorgeous cakes. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the family!
ReplyDeleteLoved the first segment, like watching a full season of Amazing Race. Also liked that you added Let Me Be There (Olivia Newton John, who we lost in 2022).
ReplyDeleteThat was Felicia's suggestion, for exactly that reason.
DeleteIf skydiveboy is right about reincarnation, I wanna come back as a kid in Blaine's family! Thanks again for sharing your playground, Blaine, and Happy 2023!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Blaine! Looks like a lot of fun, even the renovation project. (Many hands make easy work!) BTW, it seems you have top-notch recording and editing equipment. 📹📺 😎👍
ReplyDeleteLove the family team work and camaraderie! It all looks like so much fun. All the best to you and yours for 2023. Thanks for keeping this fun place going. -Steph-
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the "Birthday Cakes" sequences. Thanks & Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWho is taking the pictures?
DeleteI'm usually taking pictures of the cakes, but also Felicia. And then one of the kids if we're both in a shot. Why do you ask?
DeleteBlaine, Where did you take the photo of the antique Tesla cars? They are Teslas, right? :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year All! Love the cakes especially the one that revealed a heart in the center. That took some careful planning.
ReplyDeleteAnother "Christmascinamatic" Creative Masterpiece, Blaine!
ReplyDeletejan put it very well... who would not want to be a kid (even a big kid) in the Blaine Family?
Beautiful Family.
Beautiful Blog.
Bountiful Blaine!

DeleteI was impressed by the desserts (of course) and in that connection, that all of you look to be in great shape -- you must have admirable self-restraint, or maybe it's all that physical activity. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYes, and I thought Blaine may have lost a few pounds and looks slightly younger now. I loved the hiking photographs.
DeleteFelicia was wondering if anyone was going to mention her hiking... I'll let her know. And yes, I did drop quite a few pounds but still working on the last few.
DeleteI did, I did, he protested. I loved the hiking photographs, he repeated. Now, as for those cakes. Stop. Easy for me to say, huh?
DeleteHow'd you do it Blaine? Nutri-system?
DeleteSo inspiring to see the family in action. Happy New Year to you and your family, Blaine.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the ziplining, and wish there had been more of it shown (i.e. an entire trip, to enjoy vicariously.)
ReplyDeleteHow anyone can lose weight with all THOSE goodies around is beyond me!
One wish I had was that each person was labeled (like the cats at one point), so we'd know which daughter was which.
Good point about names which I'll try to remember for next year. From the picture above (L to R): Sheila, Amara, Michael, Felicia, Blaine and Rosemary.
Delete: O )
DeleteGreat video. Such happiness being shared.
ReplyDeleteMay 2023 be filled with more of the same - for all of us!
Very enjoyable. Great family. I wonder how you got the aerial shots and the color tracking of the trail???
ReplyDeleteEach hike was recorded using GPS then imported into Google Earth Studio. The statistics were tracked in a spreadsheet and then overlaid during editing.
DeleteThanks for sharing Blaine. Beautiful family moments
ReplyDeleteThe high top birthday cake made me laugh out loud.
